KPMG in Bermuda has been awarded the Gold Accreditation by international standard-setter Investors in People (IIP), recognising best practices in people management.

KPMG underwent the rigorous review in October 2015 and has emerged as the only professional services provider on the island to have achieved Gold Accreditation, and joins just three other organisations in Bermuda at the highest IIP standard.

Neil Patterson, Chairman of KPMG in Bermuda commented, “We are absolutely delighted to be awarded the Gold Standard. This is an important milestone in our ambition to be the Clear Choice for our Clients, our People and our Community. I want to thank everyone at KPMG who worked so hard to make this award a reality”.

IIP Assessor Angela Mulvie noted: “The excellent people management and development practices in place within KPMG in Bermuda, the high level of commitment from the senior team towards these, and their role in applying such practices consistently to sustain and grow the business, is commendable.”

KPMG’s Director of Human Resources, Tana Tucker continued, “Attaining the Gold Standard is a huge achievement for every member of staff at KPMG and is an endorsement of the type of employer and member of the local community we are proud to be.  I want to thank our People, Performance & Culture Committee and all our staff for their commitment and hard work which has resulted in the firm being only one of four organisations in Bermuda to have attained the Gold Standard.”

Investors in People is an internationally recognised quality standard that defines good practice for improving an organisation's performance through its people. It is the only internationally recognised standard that uses a ‘people-oriented’ approach to business improvement. To achieve Gold Accreditation, organisations are measured against 196 evidence requirements in its business strategy, learning and development, leadership and management, reward and recognition, performance management and continuous improvement. To achieve the gold standard an organisation must achieve a score of at least 165 evidence points.  KPMG is proud to have achieved 179 evidence points and Gold Accreditation.
