Bribery Act Training

KPMG is hosting a session focused specifically on how the Bribery Act, impacts public sector entities and Government of Bermuda departments.

22 February 2018, 9:00AM - 11:00AM, AST

The Bribery Act was passed in the Legislature in December 2016. The Act came into force on September 1, 2017. The Act places new requirements on public and private sector entities to report and prevent bribery and corruption. Public and private sector employees are mandated to report any offer of a bribe, or risk facing stiff penalties.

KPMG is hosting a breakfast session focused specifically on how the Act impacts public sector entities including Government of Bermuda departments, regulators and other entities which are owned or funded by the Government of Bermuda. Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro of the Bermuda Police Service will attend the session as a guest speaker.

The breakfast session will cover:

  • The key offences, defences and penalties outlined in the Act;
  • The six principles for creating a robust anti-bribery and corruption framework;
  • Assessing risk; and
  • Implementation.

1 CPD credit per session.
