KPMG in Bermuda congratulates TeamBDA

At KPMG in Bermuda, we pride ourselves on our long history of corporate citizenship and social responsibility, giving to education, health and athletic causes across the Island – including football, cricket, rugby, sailing and tennis. We firmly believe we have an active part to play in this island’s community.

As sponsors of TeamBDA, we would like to congratulate these young sailors on what they have achieved in such a short period in the 2017 Redbull Youth America’s Cup. The team was made up of athletes from various sporting communities that had never sailed before. To come this far and give it their all in the finals was not easy. Sacrifice, dedication and determination by the whole team is commendable as not only physical but also mental strength was needed to put their best foot forward up against some of the world’s best youth sailors. Once again, KPMG in Bermuda congratulates the team.

It is amazing to think the all-volunteer committee responsible for creating and managing TeamBDA started out with over 100 applicants. After a grueling selection process, with months of hard work and training, the final team aged between 19 and 25 were selected to form the team. The team consisted of Mackenzie Cooper, Peter Dill, Philip Hagen, Mustafa Ingham, Owen Siese, Dimitri Stevens, Shomari Warner, Ceci Wollman and Danny Pell. Take a look at their team profiles.
