Our client produces and distributes a well-known brand, managing and investing in a portfolio of a variety of FMCG products. It is one of the leading companies in the Bulgarian market. Due to their vision for future growth, they are looking for an experienced and mature individual with hands-on approach for the position of:

General Manager (GM/V)

In this role you will:

  • Monitor the status quo and dynamics of the local market in FMCG
  • Possess knowledge of the respective product category and its performance, consumption, providers, distribution channels, competition and make analyses on this basis
  • Liaise with company’s top management with regards to strategic planning, goal-setting and reporting
  • Manage operations and achieve company’s strategic goals
  • Lead all the activities in the company: marketing and distribution, export, production, logistics, facility management, technology, quality, purchasing
  • Ensure smooth and effective processes and high quality service standards are introduced and maintained in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
  • Adapt and implement systems to enable effective monitoring of performance and identification of improvements in internal efficiency and qualityservice delivery
  • Attend regular operational and businessreview meetings
  • Represent the company and maintain relationship with key clients and suppliers
  • Ensure successful product portfolio integration and development - adding new business
  • Maintain an awareness of economic, financial and legislative developments and other factors affecting regional markets and make recommendations for maximizing investment returns to the company.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, etc.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development and/or strategic management
  • At least 5 years of experience in people management
  • Broad strategic approach and deep understanding of FMCG industry
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen•Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset, result and objective driven
  • Established network with contacts of suppliers, business partners, potential corporate customers, etc. in this business
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build and maintain high performance teams
  • Ability to plan, measure, and manage resourcesand budgets
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and energetic personality
  • Fluency in English written and spoken.
