The European Commission has approved the measures to reduce the costs for green energy of large industrial consumers.
More than 200 Bulgarian energy-intensive companies will receive approximately BGN 500 million in state aid up to 2020. The aid will be used according to the Ordinance on the Reduction of the Burden Related to the Costs for Energy from Renewable Sources which is to be promulgated after its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Ordinance will enter into force retroactively as of 1 August 2015 and will be effective until 31 December 2020.
