Following a large consulting project in Hungary, Ismet became involved in banking projects in Eastern Europe, and also supported the working party of EU diplomats advising on the former federal assets of Yugoslavia, as part of the Geneva Peace Talks. He was responsible for setting up and developing KPMG’s practice in Croatia in 1993 and, subsequently, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. After handing over his responsibilities in those countries, he joined KPMG in Bulgaria in 2015. His focus is on the financial services sector.
