2018 marks KPMG’s third time and second consecutive year as the number one Top Employer. The Top Employer Institute conducts an annual independent survey of, this year, 64 Belgian employers. The results shed light on everything from compensation and benefits to learning and development.

The 2018 success for KPMG reflects their continuous focus on improving employee working conditions, and on nurturing talent at all stages of their people’s careers.  According to KPMG, their success is thanks to innovative solutions that open the path to an environment that encourages development, and to flexible compensation plans that help employees build their ideal way of working.  

People – drivers of success

Koen Maerevoet, CEO of KPMG in Belgium, welcomes the award: “We believe in our people. They are the drivers of our success. So a positive working environment is a top priority. When we achieve this – we are able to deliver what our clients have come to expect. It is also key to continuing to build the public’s trust.”

KPMG invests a lot in the working environment for its people: “In this last year, we have invested specifically in our new offices, both in Brussels and Antwerp. They boast open workspaces, access to collaborative technologies and high accessibility options. Next week, as we open the doors to our new Brussels airport office – we will also launch a Flextool to allow employees to define their mobility package for themselves. As a commitment to our communities, our firm will provide rewards for those adopting alternatives. All of these help foster a pro-active working environment”, according to Koen Maerevoet.
