Wouter has more than 14 years of experience in tax, with focus on both national and international taxation. Wouter is in charge of KPMG ‘s Belgian Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Tax practice. In addition to domestic and international taxation, Wouter has wide experience in M&A tax, including transaction structuring, tax due diligence work, tax modelling and SPA assistance with respect to transactions of various sizes. Wouter’s experience includes tax assistance in respect of IPOs, public take-over bids, de-listings, and the set-up of joint-ventures. Wouter also assists with the structuring of management incentive schemes and carried interest. Wouter has a broad background in post-acquisition tax integration and optimization (including supply chain restructuring), international tax planning and intra-group reorganizations, with in-depth knowledge of tax-technical aspects of reorganizations such as mergers and (partial) demergers.
