On 28 February KPMG in Azerbaijan held an M&A seminar for top managers and specialists of key Azeri companies in the state and private sector. The guests were welcomed by Head of Tax & Legal at KPMG in Azerbaijan Mushfig Aliyev, and Director Farid Isayev.

The speakers were KPMG in Russia and the CIS professionals: Corporate Tax Partner Irina Suvorova, Transaction Services Partner Marina Mizgireva, and Head of KPMG Law in Russia and the CIS Irina Narysheva. Head of M&A at KPMG in Germany Volker Balda spoke on the M&A legal aspects.

In addition to the overview of the global best practice in corporate reorganising, our colleagues spoke on various aspects of the M&A process, e.g. comprehensive asset due diligence, the effect of its results on the transaction structure and asset value, stakeholder agreements, and joint venture structuring. The seminar concluded with a Q&A.
