On 22 September, KPMG in Azerbaijan together with Thomson Reuters held seminar on “Transfer pricing and International taxation” at Holiday Inn Hotel in Baku.

The conference started with a welcoming speech by Klaus Pfeifer, Head of Tax & Legal at Thomson Reuters. He was followed by Zaur Fatizade, Director of International Cooperation and Tax Monitoring in Financial Institutions at the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Konstantin Karpushin, Transfer Pricing Partner at KPMG in Ukraine, and Vladimir Chizhikov, TP Senior Manager were invited as speakers of the event’s key subjects.

During the event, Ivan Kolpashnikov, Business Development Manager on tax solutions at Thomson Reuters delivered the presentations on the following key issues: transfer pricing control, international tax planning, profitability analysis of companies, analysis of financial and commodity markets, and evolution of approaches to tax administration in the context of the introduction of modern information technologies.

By way of conclusion, there was a Q&A session, which attracted keen interest on the part of both the guests and the speakers.

Around 100 representatives attended the event from the local and international companies in Azerbaijan.
