On May 26, First “Donor’s Day” was held at KPMG in Azerbaijan office with the support of the Central Blood Bank in Azerbaijan. 20 people were allowed to donate, which is quite a lot considering the busy season. One of the donors was Partner, Head of Tax & Legal department, Mushfig Aliyev.

In Azerbaijan, shortage of blood and its components is a big problem. Every year about 65 thousand blood donations are made, however, it’s by far not enough.

All the donated blood will go to the Center of Thalassemia, which helps children with oncological and hematological diseases.

Stating that, KPMG in Azerbaijan plans to hold series of such events every year. We are confident that in our joint efforts we will be able to save more lives!

The KPMG Azerbaijan CSR team thanks everyone who participated for the first time in Donor Day − we hope that in future there will be even more of us!
