On 17 January, at JW Marriott Absheron Hotel KPMG in Azerbaijan hosted a seminar on recent amendments to the tax code of the Azerbaijan Republic. The event was attended by more than 100 representatives from the leading companies.
The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech from Mushfig Aliyev, Partner, Head of Tax and Legal department at KPMG in Azerbaijan. After that, KPMG experts presented an overview of the latest amendments in the tax legislation and the law on non-cash transactions, as well as spoke on changes in tax code coming into effect this year.
As part of the conference, KPMG colleagues answered all the questions submitted by the audience on topical issues regarding the law on non-cash transactions and financial sanctions related to this law, advance tax ruling, tax accounting and e-way bills, transfer pricing and other relevant issues.
The audience gave positive feedback on the materials presented, and the event served to further consolidate our relations with the clients and targets that attended.
