Prior joining KPMG in 2013, July, Farid has worked in legal practice for one of Big 4 audit companies in Baku. He has extensive legal experience in insurance, banking and oil&gas industry, immigration, labour, construction, contracts, corporate and international trade law. He holds Bachelors degree in international law from Kingston University, Great Britain and Western University in Baku. Farid offers wide range of legal expertise which, inter alia includes:
Legal due diligence on purchase of property worth $20m to be used as headquarters of one of Azerbaijani major banks.
Legal support (drafting of SPAs, registration, negotiation) in project involving sale-purchase of shares worth $40m of one of Azerbaijani major banks. Legal opinion on implementation of Islamic banking in Azerbaijan. Customs and contract law support for a major global FMCG company in Azerbaijan.
Legal opinion on property/construction issues involving development and building of football training complex for a major Azerbaijani holding. Farid’s international experience includes work for one of world’s largest commodity traders Glencore International (currently Glencore Xstrata) in London in oil&gas trading.
