Rohit is a former head of group strategy and planning at Australian Super. He was also head of the organisation’s performance and analytics teams. He led the development of the 5 year strategy and strategic blueprint (2020 strategy) and the technology, people and culture, and digital strategies. He also established the analytics and big data capabilities for the organisation.

Before joining Australian Super, Rohit had a variety of roles at Telstra, Westpac and RMIT. These included heading corporate strategy, analytics teams and more broadly leading the development of core competencies in areas such as analytics, digital & customer advocacy. He was previously a consultant at McKinsey.

He has over 15 years of diverse experience in capital planning and leading large scale complex transformation programs across the Financial Services and TMT sectors.

During his career, he has been involved in advising boards and executive teams on issues including: capital investment prioritisation; strategy and capability development across big data, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and digital planning; operating model design; strategic partnerships; income diversification including establishment of new business entities; and cost optimisation.

Rohit says: “Broadly there are three key principles that organisations must adopt, that are critical for success in this fast-changing environment: a relentless obsession for the customer; an openness to ‘new ways’ of doing business across people, process & technology; and lastly speed to market and decision making.”

Paul Howes, KPMG Head of Asset & Wealth Management, said: “We are very pleased that Rohit will be joining us and in his new role he will partner with the wider firm to develop further its presence in the ever changing wealth sector. He will play a crucial role in helping us leverage new services into this growing market and deliver deeper value to our clients.”
