KPMG has appointed former Allens Chief, Michael Rose as a Special Adviser.

He will provide the firm’s leadership teams with insights supporting a range of growth initiatives including social responsibility, particularly Indigenous businesses and communities; government and infrastructure, with a focus on transport and smart cities; and legal advisory. In addition he will coach and mentor top talented partners and directors.

In addition to his role with KPMG, Mr Rose will continue chairing a number of government, arts and not-for profit organisations – including the Committee for Sydney, Sydney Living Museums and the Institute for Global Development at UNSW.

He is very active in Indigenous affairs, being a member of the Referendum Council on Constitutional Recognition and Chairman of the Indigenous Engagement Task Force of the Business Council of Australia. He has been recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia for services to Indigenous Communities and the legal profession. He is a lawyer and former Chief Executive Partner of Allens and also, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Mr Rose commences with KPMG this month, based in Sydney.
