The KPMG Agri-Food Tech Traction Tour to The Netherlands is an executive level tour opportunity to access unique insight to emerging agri-food technology from The Netherlands’ private and public sector, large established businesses and disruptive startups. The focus is to connect Australian and Dutch businesses and research entities and help enable innovation deal flows. Opportunity to focus the program to meet your needs.

This in-market program has been designed in collaboration with agri-food specialists from the Dutch Diplomatic Missions in Australia, AgFunder Inc and KPMG.

Co-led by Ben van Delden, KPMG Australia’s Head of AgriFood Tech, and Michael Dean, co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of AgFunder Inc, the tour promises to excite and ignite new thinking in agri-food innovation that will drive real opportunities for growth in Australian agriculture.

    Get acquainted with The Netherlands’ long history in trade and agriculture. Join the guided tour at the Rijksmuseum before exploring the Amsterdam city centre and merchant houses in the afternoon.
  • 18 June 2018 – Monday – Food Science & Technology
    Visit Europe’s leading centre inFood Scienceand Technology. After the visit to the science centre, you will meet several entrepreneurs at a startup hub that helps organisations tackle challenges in the agriculture & food industry. In the afternoon you will visit the R&D department of a multinational.
  • 19 June 2018 – Tuesday – Agriculture & Food Technology
    Pay a visit to a biotechnology centre, meet the owners of a vertical farm and listen to founders at a startup hub.
  • 20 June 2018 – Wednesday – Investing in Agriculture
    The program starts at a big investor in agricultural businesses. In the afternoon you will pay a visit to the Global Forum for innovation and visit a seed science lab.
  • 21 June 2018 – Thursday – Horticulture & Incubators
    Experience world’s largest floriculture auction on Thursday morning. Visit a big flower exporting company in the afternoon.
  • 22 June 2018 – Friday – Start-up Day
    The day will start at the harbour of Rotterdam. In the afternoon a startup event will be held. Several entrepreneurs of successful startups are invited to share their innovations with you.
  • 23 June 2018 – Saturday – Technology
    Explore the high-tech campus in Eindhoven. Several guest speakers will show and explain their innovations.
