Andrew joined KPMG in an IT advisory role in June 2014. He has led many large strategy engagements across the financial services, telecommunications and state government sectors encompassing technology strategy, strategic sourcing initiatives and designing new IT Operating Models and organisational structures that deliver improved accountability and technology outcomes to clients.
Prior to KPMG, Andrew was Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA), He joined VHA in 2012 with over 10 years’ experience gained in global IT outsourcing companies, including EDS (now HP ES) and IBM. As CIO, Andrew executed a cloud-first strategy for digital applications and rationalised application and infrastructure spend through a new portfolio structure retaining critical knowledge of core applications in-house. This strategy delivered 30 percent savings against OPEX and CAPEX targets. Additionally Andrew was heavily engaged in the wider network’s financial optimisation activity leveraging broader scale to deliver in year and sustainable cost take out savings.
Andrew moved to Australia in 2004 with EDS. He held numerous business deal maker roles across Asia Pacific before accepting a global deal maker role with IBM with direct ownership of deal closures totalling over $1 billion in a 3-year time frame.
