Steve joined KPMG in 2008 after more than two decades in the chemical industry in Australia and in Europe. He has held a variety of roles in the industry, including in R&D, marketing and supply chain.

From 2002 to 2005, Steve was Supply Chain Director for Huntsman Performance Products in Europe. Within KPMG, Steve provides advice to clients in the manufacturing, resources and energy sectors, on environmental risk management (including climate risk), supply chain and regulatory compliance. His clients have included the Australian Government departments of Environment and Defence, mining companies, oil and gas producers, banks, infrastructure providers and the chemical industry. 

Steve regularly presents at industry forums and has previously written articles for Reaction magazine on supply chain and on the chemical industry in Australia.

Steve is the sector lead contact for the chemical industry in Australia.

  • Project Leader for a pan-European ERP implementation for a global chemical company.

  • Has led projects for the Australian government on the lifecycle of materials using synthetic greenhouse gases, and on the energy and emissions of industrial processes.

  • External and compliance auditing in mining, metals, oil and gas, renewables, electricity distribution and chemicals.

  • Environmental auditing and risk management in the mining, aluminium, rail and electricity distribution sectors.
