James joined KPMG Law in 2017 to lead the Workplace & Employment Law practice.

His expertise spans both advisory work and litigation, and includes complex employment litigation, organisational restructuring, industrial relations management, international workplace law, EEO and discrimination, work health and safety, and major workplace investigations.

James has been recommended in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific as being “strategically brilliant with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the law.”

Chambers Global 2016 noted his “incredible strategic brain” and “prowess as a litigator on complex workplace matters.”

Outside of the office, James is an aviation enthusiast who holds his private pilot’s license and he occasionally dabbles in aerobatics.
