KPMG Australia

Bernie is a senior partner in KPMG's Melbourne practice with three decades of experience. "I enjoy working with clients to make sure we are exceeding service expectations – providing insight beyond core financial advice," he says.

Bernie has provided audit and advisory services to a range of listed and private entities in the industrial products, consumer markets and financial services sectors. He has significant experience in advising clients on financial reporting and accounting matters, acquisitions and divestments, and corporate fundraising transactions. Bernie was Deputy Partner in Charge of KPMG Australia’s Department of Professional Practice from 2011-2015, and was a member of the Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) from 2010-2015. A memorable career moment was a secondment to Washington DC in the 1990s.

He is married to wife Sharyn and has three children, and enjoys cricket, football and hiking. He has a keen interest in fundraising, and is a Director and Audit Committee Chairman of Jesuit Social Services.
