Dr Petreski is an internationally experienced and commercially driven professional with over 20-years’ experience in the innovation and technology sectors where he has been developing and executing business strategies that stimulate the financing, uptake, adoption and commercialisation of emerging technologies across multiple sectors. As an entrepreneurial, analytical, strategic thinker and planner, Bill has a unique combination of experience in market development and economic research; public policy advocacy; think-tank facilitation; corporate and government engagement; and peak industry liaison.
Bill is Director of Innovation Strategy within KPMG Innovate where he delivers the Unlocking Business Value service line. Unlocking Business Value is designed to assist innovation active businesses, at start-up, SME or corporate level’s that require the design, planning and implementation of transformational high-tech and high-growth business models.
He was previously Principal at the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) – a peak industry association which represents the interests of more than 60,000 businesses across all industry sectors and provides policy advocacy on key issues for businesses. At Ai Group, Bill managed a diverse portfolio of thought leadership groups through which he developed public policy and provided advocacy on national issues of economic importance in infrastructure, productivity, manufacturing & innovation.
Dr Petreski is a leading expert in the ICT and Innovation sectors, where he has established a track record in; developing and executing business development strategies, conducting economic analysis across the sector, developing and advocating broad reaching public policy strategies on innovation and leading the creation of significant research-industry engagement.
