Stewart joined KPMG in 1993 in KPMG’s Glasgow office prior to relocating to Melbourne in 2003 where he is a Transaction Services partner in Deal Advisory. He has advised numerous domestic and multinational companies and private equity funds in all areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), disposals or capital market transactions, primarily in the consumer and industrial markets industries.

Stewart’s wide range of international and domestic experience spans more than 20 years in the following areas:

  • Acquisitions: Multiple buy side middle market and large company transactions for public and private companies and private equity firms. Advice includes due diligence, sale agreement vetting, integration planning and accounting support on associated capital raising.
  • Disposals: Multiple sell side and carve out transactions for public and private companies, including public to private transactions. Disposal projects included vendor due diligence, vendor assistance, and carve-out financial statement support.
  • Investigating Accountant’s Reports: Multiple Investigating Accountant engagements for clients undertaking initial public offerings, rights issues or capital reorganisations.
