National Sector Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications
If businesses aren’t already preparing to embrace the Internet of Things, big data and analytics, Chris is on a mission to instil change. “We have the opportunity for Australia to capitalise on the new wave of technology and disruption,” he says. “We must create a future beyond mining and set our sights higher, be more visionary and not miss out.”
As KPMG National Sector Leader – Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Chris connects like-minded people, startups and established businesses interested in technology disruption. Within KPMG he shares his expertise with Partners to ingrain a tech-focused culture within the business and clients. Media convergence, machine learning, cyber security and the cloud are key interests. “The agriculture sector, the transport sector, the city sector – they all need to think about emerging technologies,” he says.
Chris has expertise in leading large technology transformation programs, working across strategy, planning, architecture, design, integration, process, change management, business readiness and deployment. He has also worked with telecommunications operators to drive end-to-end improvement and productivity programs to deliver cost, customer service and simplification benefits.
Chris has worked in the US, Canada, India, the UK and Israel. Now as a busy interstate traveller, he spends his weekends focusing on his family, and enjoys stand up paddle boarding at the beach.
