Partner, KPMG Law
Jamie is a Partner in KPMG Law’s Sydney office. As a steward of good corporate governance, architect of compliance frameworks, and part of the order of risk management, Jamie understands the challenges facing in-house legal counsels.
Jamie has worked with leading Australian and New York law firms, acting as a corporate and private equity funds lawyer. Before joining KPMG Law, Jamie was a General Counsel with a Sovereign Investment Fund where he acted as lead corporate lawyer for many large, multi-jurisdictional and complex transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, disposals, mergers, industrial collaborations (civil and military) and consortium investment arrangements. Prior to that Jamie was based in London, where he obtained significant experience in advising private equity fund sponsors and investors in relation to establishment and investment into private equity funds.
With his local and international legal experience, Jamie is an expert at demystifying legal tech noise and is able to evaluate real options. His skillset enables him to determine where people, process and technology can combine to supercharge the legal function and meet the modern business world's expectation of 'doing more with less'.
