Deal Advisory Services Partner, Ian Jedlin, helps clients evaluate the real value of any potential investment decisions. Starting at KPMG in 1984, Ian is delighted that he’s still learning every day. “Every day is new,” he says. “No matter how I plan my day, something comes up that will send things sideways. But, given the size of KPMG and the nature of our clients, it’s to be expected.”
Having worked across sectors ranging from retail to finance, Ian is aware that sectors as well as businesses run to a rhythm and it’s possible to adapt learnings from each sector across the different industries such as cyber security, data analytics and risk awareness.
Ian is aware that getting the job right is a team effort rather than one person’s star turn. He is thankful for an early bit of advice he was given as an enthusiastic starter: “We know you know the answer but wait, listen - and you’ll come up with a better one.” It’s a lesson he passes on to this day.
Ian believes in giving back to the community and was director for the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation for many years.
