National Sector Leader, Wealth Management and Partner in Charge, Customer, Brand & Marketing Advisory
Paul became Partner in Charge of KPMG’s specialist Customer, Brand & Marketing advisory practice in June 2017. He leads a team of skilled specialists who help clients across a range of industries to transform their organisations into more customer-centric ones, to build their brands and to apply more commercial rigour to their strategies.
Paul heads up KPMG’s Wealth Management practice, leading the firm’s work in the superannuation, asset management and wealth sectors. Paul joined KPMG in 2014 after 15 years in the Australian labour movement, including 7 years as the leader of The Australian Workers’ Union. Paul also held roles in the wealth management sector including as Deputy Chair and a Director of AustralianSuper. Paul also has government and industrial policy experience, is a published author and columnist, and has served on numerous government boards including the Australian Workforce and Productivity Agency.
At KPMG, Paul has helped clients with digital transformation, organisational design and development, regulatory change management and advocacy, industry insights, mapping future market shifts, and product/proposition design and implementation. He has advised clients on transforming their people management settings to deliver significant productivity gains while building stronger, deeper and less adversarial relationships with their workforces.
Paul has also served on the boards of a number of think-tanks and remains a Director of beyondblue.
