National Leader, Tax Technology and Innovation
Finding new, more efficient ways to deliver tax services to clients in a digital world is a key motivation for Mathew. As KPMG Head of Tax Technology and Innovation in Australia, he is working on innovative technology solutions to streamline tax, but also to enable his team to offer even deeper insight and greater advice to clients.

Mathew is a Partner in KPMG's R&D Incentives practice, responsible for South Australia and Western Australia. He was previously Lead Partner Renewables for KPMG in Australia, and KPMG’s Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) R&D Lead Partner in Australia. This history has seen him work with clients in a diverse range of industries, in particular in mining, renewables and cleantech. He joined KPMG in 2002 after various commercial and government roles.
As a student, Mathew backpacked around the world, and has also worked internationally. Now, life is busy as a parent to three boys. He makes time to indulge his love of music, frequently adding to his vinyl record collection.
