Eileen Hoggett has been with KPMG since 1993 and is honoured to have recently been appointed to the KPMG Australia Board. “The firm is facing a unique period of change in respect of technology advances and potential disruption to our business models, so it is a very exciting time to be on the board,” she says. Eileen says the diversity and quality of clients, never-ending opportunities to learn, as well as undertaking some exciting international secondments, including to Moscow and Bangkok, have fuelled her ongoing loyalty to the firm. “A standout for me is the quality of the people in the firm – it is a delight to work with them on a daily basis,” she says.
Eileen’s passion for steering change also extends to the role of women in leadership and she mentors female team members across the firm to achieve their goals. She is KPMG’s national representative on the International Women’s Forum board and regularly speaks at events about increasing female representation in leadership.
Eileen was made Partner in the firm’s Audit and Assurance practice in 2005 and is the Global Engagement Partner for Lendlease Group and Goodman, and Lead Partner on Sydney Airport and Mirvac (an advisory client). She is the COO of KPMG Sydney Financial Services – Audit, and was a member of the Audit Retention & Conversion Group from 2012–2015. Her core focus areas are property, construction and funds management.
“I’m focused on enhancing the quality of audits for our clients and I believe embracing digital and data analytics will be instrumental in providing deeper insights to our clients’ business,” she says.
Beyond KPMG, Eileen is a Director of Alzheimer’s Australia (NSW), and was previously Director and Audit Committee Chair for CatholicCare for 10 years. She enjoys keeping fit and travelling, and is also a busy a parent to twin boys and a daughter.
