James has worked for KPMG since 2002 in London, Frankfurt and Moscow prior to his current post in Sydney where he has been since 2010.
He works in KPMG’s Tax Transformation practice offering advice to Boards and Management of large organisations on governance, risk management, technology, process/controls as well as value drivers around tax matters.
James is also on the steering committee of the firm’s Global Tax Transformation network developing the firm’s global solutions in light of the expanding tax regulatory and governance environment now focussing beyond the technical of tax.
James has advised over a hundred clients across all sectors in Australia and worldwide on how to strengthen, streamline and improve their tax governance and risk management frameworks in light of growing tax authority pressures and an internally driven requirement to improve management of tax risk and drive best practices. James has also contributed in a consulting role to the development of regulatory guidance on tax governance in particular the ATO’s Tax risk management and governance review guide and is connected into the OECD at a global level.
