Sally Freeman

Partner in Charge, Risk Consulting

KPMG Australia

Sally is intrigued by the question "Why?" and seeks to challenge teams and organisations to embrace change confidently. She honed her skills on large IT systems implementations and rapidly moved on to assisting clients to successfully assess strategic risks, transform internal controls and achieve regulatory compliance. It is not surprising that Sally is energised as the Head of KPMG Australia’s Risk Consulting Group. “I like the challenge of dealing with the vast diversity of risks in business, from cyber threat to fiscal concerns, people and culture, climate change, social media exposure and sector disruption". "It is about problem solving and working with our clients to help identify and overcome obstacles that can prevent them from innovating and achieving their strategy,” Sally’s years of experience have taught her to expect the unexpected. "I am fascinated by what changes in risk and what stays the same, from understanding digital disruption, to the importance of ethics, culture and leadership in achieving outcomes". Sally happily spends as much of her spare time as possible flipping between her passions, horse riding and sailing, she just wishes there was a way to combine the two.
