For Dana, seeing her team members succeed whether to senior roles in industry or become a KPMG partner brings satisfaction. "It’s great to feel that I've played a part in their career and am contributing to the future of the industry,” she says. Dana has more than 20 years of experience specialising in the taxation of superannuation funds and managed investments. Her current client portfolio includes major industry superannuation funds and both major retail and boutique managed funds. She advises and works with them on a wide range of tax matters, including strategic planning and governance as well as day-to-day activities such as compliance, the impact of legislative change on systems and products, unit pricing and ATO reviews. Dana is particularly experienced in superannuation fund mergers. "The superannuation industry is going through unprecedented levels of change in terms of regulatory reform, and the goal is to work with our clients as they restructure their businesses and products to create a platform for the future." Dana joined KPMG in1992 and later went on secondment to KPMG in Amsterdam. After backpacking in South America and working for PWC in London, she rejoined KPMG and became Partner in 2006. Dana is the Chair of Fintona Girls' School and believes in equipping young women for the career of their choice. Her time outside work is spent with her family and her young puppy, a Cavoodle called Timmy.
