Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in banking, specialising in auditing financial institutions, complex financing transactions, securitisations and due diligence assignments. He was Head of KPMG’s banking practice in ASPAC from 2005 to 2015 and has been KPMG’s Westpac Relationship Partner for the past 10 years. Andrew has extensive experience with global banking, IFRS accounting advice, operational risk assessment, IT strategy and cost optimisation. He provides accounting and advisory services to financial institutions to assist them in structuring transactions for their clients. He also provides technical referral and advisory services for real estate and public sector clients in the areas of hybrid/debt equity issues, sale and leaseback transactions, deconsolidation structures and hedging arrangements. Andrew’s “out of the box” experiences include running the firms Fiji audit practice in 1993 and 1994, and being seconded to act as the CIO for Natwest Markets for three months in 1996. He has also been a member of the KPMG Australia Board for the last 6 years, and Chairs the firms audit committee. Andrew is a keen sports fan and spends his leisure time golfing, watching cricket and rugby. He also enjoys time on his small farm north of Sydney.
