Michael is a Partner in KPMG’s Financial Risk Management practice. He previously held Chief Risk Officer, Treasurer and Market Risk Management roles with Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Westpac in Australia and Asia. Michael has a broad knowledge of enterprise risk management, with particular emphasis on treasury, balance sheet, ALM practices – interest rate and FX risk, liquidity risk, funds transfer pricing, conduct risk and regulatory requirements, including OTC derivatives reform. Michael is currently assisting a number of Australian banks with their regulatory investigations for financial benchmark manipulation; analysing and interpreting behaviours and conversations, and contextualising for bank management and their internal and external legal counsel.
