Twelve KPMG people will become Games Shapers at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Games Shapers are volunteers who will come together as a diverse and united team to help deliver the best Games for athletes, officials, spectators and the community.

15,000 volunteers will deliver over 1 million Games Shapers hours over 18 competition venues during Games time.

Our people have their rosters, uniforms and have participated in a range of face-to-face and online training areas specific to their roles and assigned venues over the past 6 months.

They are excited and ready to support the delivery of the largest sporting event in Australia this decade and the largest sporting event ever held on the Gold Coast.

“Having the opportunity to become one of the GC2018 Games Shapers is pretty exciting. I get to wear a really funky and colourful uniform and will be working at the Oxenford Precinct venue as a member of the Spectator Services team, which is home to the boxing, table tennis and squash competitions. We are the ‘Face of the Games’ and perform a wide variety of tasks including ushering, ticket taking and spectator marshalling. It should be a truly memorable experience.”

“I feel so lucky to be part of the GC2018 Games Shapers workforce. Hoping to bring my best to the team and to expand my service skills through this amazing experience.”

“I’m grateful for the volunteer experience so far. Working with people from all walks of life, young and old, who are giving up their time to help create a positive buzz as we strive to achieve a common goal, being the success of the games. The experience has also given me a window and appreciation for the inner workings of the complexities of organising an event the size of the Commonwealth Games. I can’t wait for them to start!”
