Human rights: risks to people or risks to business?

KPMG in the UK invites you to an evening event for human rights and sustainability practitioners on human rights risks.

3 April 2017, 6:00PM - 8:00PM, GMT

Companies are under pressure to ensure their value chains are free from human rights abuses. Failure to do this brings many risks including litigation and damage to reputation, brand value and critical relationships.

The UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights call for companies to consider their human rights impacts on people regardless of the impact on the business. Yet most corporate risk management approaches focus on material financial risks to the business.

How can this apparent dilemma be resolved in practical terms?

KPMG invites you to attend an evening presentation and discussion. We expect this event to be useful for corporate human rights professionals and others interested in business and human rights, including those in corporate risk, legal, procurement and sustainability teams.
