BEPS developments in the UAE

Base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) has been at the forefront of anti-tax avoidance discussions globally, since 2014.

14 May 2018, 2:00PM - 3:00PM, GST Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) has been at the forefront of anti-tax avoidance discussions globally, since 2014 when the first draft reports of the BEPS Action Plan were issued by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). BEPS, as a concept, is known to multinational organizations with global footprint, including the UAE. However, the issuance of the non-cooperative jurisdictions list by the European Union (EU) Code of Conduct Group brought the topic, and its significance, much closer to home.

During this webcast, our KPMG international tax professionals will:

  • Introduce you to BEPS and the minimum standards
  • Discuss measures implemented in jurisdictions similar to the UAE
  • Discuss the impact of the introduction of BEPS minimum standards locally

Our key speakers on this webcast will be:

  • Ashok Hariharan Partner, Head of Tax, KPMG Lower Gulf
  • Jérôme van Staden Partner, Tax, KPMG Lower Gulf
  • Anuj Kapoor Director, Tax, KPMG Lower Gulf
